Who is Joe Pritchett?
- Grew up in Tucker, Stone Mountain, Lilburn area.
- Enlisted in US Army
- Served during WWII in four different combat theaters
1) North Africa 2) Sicily 3) Italy 4) France
Sergeant Pritchett was killed in action shortly after being part of D-Day landing in Normandy, France on June 25 th , 1944.
He was only 27 years old

4) Compose paper (2 page maximum) on why you believe it is important to honor Veterans on Memorial Day
